11 November 2024, Chisinau — The Entrepreneurship Development Organisation announces the successful completion of four grant programmes managed in 2024. They were in high demand, triggering the full use of the budget ahead of schedule, and reflecting the positive impact of the programmes on the business environment and entrepreneurship in the country.

The four programmes ‘SME repowering and energy efficiency programme’, ‘Women’s entrepreneurship support programme’, ‘SME digital transformation programme’ and ‘PARE 1 + 2 economic remission programme’ supported 310 companies, creating around 1600 new jobs and maintaining a further 5760 jobs.

The total value of the grants awarded amounts to RON 148.4 million, provided from the state budget and European Union funds. The total investment in the economy is RON 318.9 million.

Around 50 % of beneficiaries come from the industrial sector, 30 % from the services sector and 20 % from the agricultural sector.

Therefore, ODA will close the calls for applications for the above-mentioned grant programmes on 13.11.2024 at 17: 00.

At the same time, calls for the following programmes remain open:

Since the beginning of the year, ODA has facilitated access to grants for 506 companies with a total value of over RON 205 million. Of this amount, almost RON 147.3 million was provided from the state budget and RON 42.5 million was provided by the European Union through the ‘EU for SMEs’ project.

At the same time, the World Bank, through its Programme for Increasing Export Competitiveness and Internationalisation of SMEs, has supported an additional 18 companies with funds of RON 6.3 million, thus helping to strengthen export capacity.

And the Digital Innovation and Technology Startup Support Programme funded 20 companies with grants totalling RON 8.5 million thanks to Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund support and the Future Technologies Project, funded by USAID, Sweden and the UK.
