Chisinau, 12 June 2024— The Entrepreneurship Development Organisation brought together 36 partners from 12 countries under the Danube Transnational Programme to harness the role of women in business and promote the circular economy.

Participants present good practice models and solutions to strengthen digital and industrial capacities, thus supporting the sustainable transition of the economy.

The agenda of the event also includes detailed presentations of the specialists of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship on the impact of entrepreneurial development programmes. At the same time, development opportunities for female entrepreneurs are highlighted by Female Entrepreneurship Support Programmeand the prospects for their integration into the circular economy.

At the beginning of the event, Vadim Codreanu, Director ODA, stressed the importance of the contribution of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship to the sustainable and circular development of the economy.

“The circular economy is a key need for a sustainable future, a future where we put the resilience, innovation and responsible management of our planet’s resources first. In the current context, where the requirement for sustainable practices is more stringent than ever, the circular economy is required as a without hope and innovation. We are strongly committed to supporting these principles and urge entrepreneurs to adopt these practices in their work,” said Vadim Codreanu.

“In many regions of the Republic of Moldova, entrepreneurs face certain challenges in accessing resources and business opportunities. Such a programme provides specific support and resources to help them overcome them,” added Silvia Cangea-Digolean, ODA project manager.

The WE Circular project, managed by ODA, started in January 2024 and will be implemented by summer 2026. This includes organising educational events and transnational meetings with stakeholders. The activities provide valuable platforms for sharing best practices and developing the skills needed for the transition to a circular economy.
