3 March 2026, Chisinau — The beginning of the year was highlighted by concrete results and new opportunities for entrepreneurs, young people and the local business environment, thanks to the joint efforts of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and international partners.

Thus, in the first two months of the year, in the field of entrepreneurship, ODA disbursed a total of RON 16.7 million in non-repayable funding to 101 companies through the grant programmes it manages with the support of Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation.

At the same time, calls for funding for non-repayable financial support instruments were launched on 16 February 2026 and 242 applications were received in the first two weeks and are currently under evaluation.

Through the Credit Guarantee Fund66 entrepreneurs benefited from guarantees totalling RON 55.7 million, facilitating their access to finance for business expansion amounting to RON 167 million. Of these, with the new loan portfolio guarantee facility8 entrepreneurs benefited from guarantees totalling approximately RON 5.6 million, which facilitated access to finance for business development amounting to RON 8.2 million.

This mechanism allows Moldovan entrepreneurs to benefit from faster access to finance. It is an innovative tool that speeds up the process of granting guaranteed loans, eliminating the need for individual approvals for each file.

Also in the framework of the Government Programme 37374 entrepreneurs obtained loans totalling RON 246 million for the implementation of investment projects totalling RON 424.2 million.

For the loans granted through this programme, in January-February this year the State partially covered the interest on the loans by paying compensation totalling RON 21.6 million.

Also during this period, through the financing product “We are making sustainable investments BGK‘financing of RON 8.1 million was approved, granted through banks to 3 companies. These funds are intended to implement investment projects worth RON 58.84 million, with the main objective of making companies more energy efficient. Since the launch of this product, a total of RON 93.8 million in funding has been approved for 51 entrepreneurs for the implementation of investment projects totalling RON 206.6 million.

In order to facilitate access to information on funding opportunities offered by programmes managed by ODA, more than 2200 individual consultations were provided during the reference period. At the same time, four information sessions held in Chisinau and in the districts of Sîngerei, Orhei and Drochia brought together almost 500 interested participants.

With the continued support of the government and development partners, through well-defined programmes and concrete actions, we are laying the foundations for a stronger economy capable of providing stability and real prospects of prosperity for society as a whole.
