In the first 6 months of the launch of Component III of the Start Youth Programme “Grant Split Credit”, 50 investment projects of young entrepreneurs in the country were approved by the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) to receive grants of up to RON 265 per company. This component provides a financial envelope of up to RON 1 760 000, of which 85 % constitutes a loan at a fixed interest rate and 15 % is non-repayable funding from the State through ODA.

The total amount of the financial envelope accessed by the first beneficiaries is approximately RON 49 million, of which RON 9 million is provided in the form of a grant. According to forecasts from the investment projects submitted by entrepreneurs, the volume of investment in the economy will amount to approximately RON 54 million, with more than 140 jobs being created and maintained. The financial means will be used to procure goods and services for business development in several areas of the national economy.

The financial envelope is co-financed by the Office for the Management of External Assistance Programmes (OGPAE), which allocates from the Youth Credit Facility funds the part of the loan repayable through the Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs), and the part of the grant is provided to eligible beneficiaries through PFIs by IPOA-ODA.

Thus, in order to obtain concessional loans with part of the grant, young entrepreneurs; which own 75 % or more of the property of a company, can apply to one of the 11 partner financial institutions, namely: BC “Moldova-Agroindbank” S.A., OTP Bank S.A., BC “Moldindconbank” S.A, BC “Fincombank” S.A, BC “Comercial bank” S.A, BC “ProCredit Bank” A., BC “EuroCreditBank” S.A, BC “Victoriabank” S.A., OCN “Microinvest” SRL, OCN “Rural Finance Corporation” S.A., OCN “Moldcredit” SRL.
