10.07.24 – almost 400 entrepreneurs in the country accessed loans through the Government Programme for Supporting Entrepreneurs 373, managed by the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation. The total value of the loans granted amounts to RON 1.3 billion, while the projected investment in the saving of loans amounts to RON 2 billion.

The implementation of investment projects will help create more than 1000 new jobs.

Most loans were accessed by energy production and supply companies (41 %), followed by transport and storage companies (24 %) and manufacturing companies (13 %).

Ion Belocosov, founder of the ‘BELOCOSOV-COM’ company in Costești, Ialoveni, is one of the beneficiaries of the programme. He built a one and a half hectare photovoltaic station, accessing a loan of RON 7 million, at which he will receive interest offset by the ‘373’ Government Programme.

Recently, the Government of the Republic of Moldova increased the maximum amount accessible through the programme from 15 to 40 million lei, thus allowing potential beneficiaries to access higher loans for business development and increasing investments. In addition, the Government will provide, through the Credit Guarantee Fund, greater protection, guaranteeing up to 80 % of the amount of credit granted, compared to the previous ceiling of 40 %.

The Government’s Entrepreneurship Support Programme 373 was launched last summer. It aims to stimulate economic growth and the entrepreneurial environment through financial support for investment projects and business expansion.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Government of the Republic of Moldova through the “373” Programme by accessing loans at any bank in the country.
