Manage a green business. Călin Harti from the Blood City has taken over packaging manufacturing activity from his father, and then replace the production line with environmentally friendly packaging.
Călin was studying case law when his father familiarised himself with the activity of his company. Partly involved in the family business until in 2013 has taken over in full the status of founder and manager of the company. If by then, the core activity was the production of canned packaging; the young entrepreneur turned to a new direction. More specifically: it has widened the range of products starting with the manufacture of organic paper and cardboard boxes and bags.
Now the company of the young person provide packaging to economic operators in the country in different areas of activity, from the largest companies to the smallest producers. The number of customers increased once Moldovan companies became aware of the importance of adopting an environmentally friendly business model, implementing the concept of green packaging.
The COVID-19 crisis was a challenge for every company, but in the case of Călin Harti it was more easily overcome. Even in the midst of the pandemic, the entrepreneur signed the grant contract with ODIMM under the The “PARE 1 + 1” programme. Through the grant, he procured a multicolour versographic printing machine and an automatic cutting mechanism, which enabled him to optimise and automate his work processes. Subsequently, their acquisition helped to increase production capacity, broaden the product range as well as increase the number of employees. Thus, Călin Harti’s company continues to grow in all circumstances.
The “PARE 1 + 1” Economic Discharge Programme operates under the “1 + 1” rule – each leu invested from the candidate’s remittances is replaced by a grant leu from the programme. Grant beneficiaries may be citizens of the Republic of Moldova working abroad and their first-degree relatives. The programme is financed from the state budget and co-financed by European Union funds.
