Viorel Prisăcari, Vilador: Social entrepreneurship has a future. “If we don’t get involved, then who?”
In August 2014, Viorel Prisăcari together with the family, they launched a goat farm: SRL “Prisvio” (Vilador). The family takes care of the whole process, from increasing the feed, caring for the cloves and processing the milk. At the moment, Vilador markets on the internal market products made from goat’s milk: pasteurised milk, goat’s milk cheese with the protected designation of origin ‘Măgura cheese’yoghurt, sweet curd and kashkaval. The farm also practises, and social activities environmentally friendly activities, namely eco-tourism and the development of public spaces in the locality.
Vilador it also provides agricultural, ecological tourism services. There are 14 tourist accommodation places available there. Once there, visitors have the opportunity to take part in household work. Visitors are covered with natural goat’s milk products. In addition, I can admire the Movila Măgura surroundings.
“We have plans for further development. We aim to provide green tourism services. We want to make the most of the tourism potential of the Movila Măgura hill, around which we are also located.”
In the future, it intends to expand the range of goat’s milk products. Products from Vilador I am BIOcontain only natural ingredients: milk, natural rennet and food salt.
The undertaking managed by Viorel Prisacari it also engages in social activities that contribute to the development of the locality in which it operates through the development of public spaces. He believes that it is the economic operators who should be involved in such activities.
“Our company, in addition to producing for economic activity, tries to get as much involved as possible in the social business consisting of the provision of various maintenance services in the locality where we are located. We are involved in the development of the stadium, the cemetery. In the future, we are further planning to contribute to the development of society both in the locality and in the wider region. I believe that social entrepreneurship is both a voluntary and beneficial activity for society and for local residents. If we don’t get involved, then who?”
Viorel Prisăcari considers that social entrepreneurship has a future, as this activity is starting to develop only slightly in the Republic of Moldova.
Campaign initiated and supported by the transnational Finance4SocialChange project, co-financed by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI). The aim of the project is to promote social impact and stimulate the development of companies interested in solving community problems. ODSME is a partner, along with 19 other institutions from 15 countries in the Danube region.
