Old life skills once again in the village Cotihana, Cahul district. Andrei MUSTEAȚĂ decided to step into the footsteps of his grandmother and set up a business in zootechnical field. The activity, he says, will provide him with an income and a chance to build a beautiful future in his home town.

Was about to leave, but the project Local Ocupare Cahul Partnership it changed its plans. Andrei MUSTEAȚĂ he started a traditional business, i.e. he wants to build a cow farm to sell milk and meat later on. The young person now owns six cattle of the Holstein and Simmental breeds, which are considered to be some of the most productive. The farmer also has a stable situated on an area of 250 MP, to be renovated and adapted to standards through the grant under the Youth Start Programme.

At the same time, the entrepreneur it also has agricultural land for the cultivation of animal feed, which will enable the cows to be kept outdoors in favourable climatic conditions.

The experience and legacy of the grandmother’s mini-farm will help Andrei to put the business on the wheel and create new jobs in the region. And once all have been put in their place, they want to establish collaboration with companies specialising in the production and marketing of dairy products. The young man has great plans and seems to have taken all aspects of his work into account. He will also build a greenhouse later, where he will use animal manure as natural fertiliser. Says his success is due to his family who supports him and believes in his ambition. Last but not least, the young person is grateful for the project that motivated him to shape a better future in the country without embarking on the path of the foreigner.

The implementation of the investment project was made possible by cooperation between the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO). 11 businesses initiated by young people and women in the Cahul district were financially supported as a result of this Local Partnership for Employment.
