Eugeniu Damian, founder of the ‘APETISANT-EXPRES’ company in the city of Sângerei, turned a simple idea into a successful food business. In 2020, he opened a canteen in the centre of the municipality, and shortly afterwards it became a attraction for the city’s inhabitants thanks to quality services and delicious dishes.

The success of the canteen motivated Eugeniu to expand the business and add a home delivery service. In addition, he succeeded in launching a pastry that added diversity to the company’s offer, strengthening its presence on the local market.

Eugeniu Damian recently accessed a loan of almost RON 200.000 through the 373 Government Programme, which allowed it to further develop its business. With the funds obtained, the entrepreneur purchased machines for the production of the pieces and opened a kiosk in which he offers a wide range of products: coffee, pies, fast-food, pastry and soft drinks.
The entrepreneur is convinced that his success is largely due to the courage, insistence and support of the state, which gave him the resources to realise his vision of growing and diversifying the business. ‘APETISANT-EXPRES’ continues to thrive and Eugeniu’s story is an inspirational example for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova.
