Vatra Dumeștis – a genuine cultural destination at the heart of nature located in Vorniceni, Strășeni raion, Vatra Dumeștis is a cultural destination dedicated to promoting local traditions and heritage, founded in 2019 by Elena Lazareva. In spring 2025, the company received approximately lei 300.000 in non-repayable funding through the Tourism SME Development Programme, funded by the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, through the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship. The money was invested in the mobile and fit-out of accommodation. Previously, in 2020, the company further benefited from non-repayable funding amounting to more than lei 100.000, raised via the “Fee in Business” programme. This money was bought a 3D printer. Two years later, through the greening programme, funded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the company received a non-repayable amount of more than lei 100.000. The money has been invested in the construction of a water abstraction system, the purchase of tomberos and other green equipment. In 2024, the company benefited from another almost lei 400.000 non-repayable funding granted under the female Entrepreneurship Support Programme, funded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, which invested in modernising kitchen equipment and improving the conditions for accommodation in the sea. As a result of four programmes, the company benefited from non-repayable funds worth more than lei 900.000. “I believe it is important to make hardship, then be successful – here, at home, together with your family and children,” scored Elena Lazareva.
