Success history – Romeniuc Zoia GT – water accumulation basin
In the Ocnița, the Sate of the Codrenium, the municipality of Vălcineț, Romaniuc Zoia G.Ț. demonstrates that strategic work and investment can bring success and development.
Founded in 2012 and led by Zoia Romaniuc, the company specialised in increasing and exporting fruit such as apples, pruns and cyclings.
With a livary extended to around 25 hectares, Romaniuc Zoia G.Ț. supply quality products on both the local and export markets. A defining element of its work is the commitment to environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.
Through the HMM Greening Programme, managed by the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship and funded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, the Entrepreneurial has implemented an innovative project to collect and store fresh water from precipitation.
With the support of an almost RON 500000 grant provided by the European Union, the entrepreneur built an accumulation basin. The implementation of this solution strengthened the company’s resilience to the adverse weather conditions in the summer season, increasing its sustainability and operational efficiency.
Since 2022, through the greening programme for HMIs, a total of 162 companies across the country have accessed grants of more than lei 36 million, with the value of investment in the domestic economy of more than lei 72 million contributing to pollution prevention and efficient management of water resources.
The success of Romaniuc Zoia G.Country demonstrates that investment in agriculture and green technologies generate long-term benefits for both businesses and communities.
