Success history – II Drumea Mihail
In the period 2022-2025, through the PARE 1+ 2, managed by ODA, more than 200 entrepreneurs returning from the diaspora or their relatives have built successful business at home.
The grants accessed through this programme, totalling lei 62.2 million, generated investments of more than lei 145 million in the local economy.
An example of success is the business founded by the spouses Mihail and Ecaterina Drumea from the Vărserești Tate, Nisporeni raion. After returning to the country, they paved the way for I.I. DRUMEA Mihail, specialising in the processing and preservation of meat.
Supported by a grant of 250. Lei 000, provided via the “PARE 1+ 2” programme for attracting remittances to the economy – a programme dedicated to those in diaspora, the Drumea family invested in modern equipment: processing, packaging, refrigeration and storage machinery, preparing the business for enlargement and exports.
“Visions are big. We want to reach our products and across our co-nationals,” said Mihail Drumea.
This is just one of many examples showing that resources and experience gained across borders can build the future at home, with financial support from the Moldovan government and the European Union.
