Success history – Gelibert SRL – Employees – gaseous water bottling
This year, GELIBERT in S blood mark 25 years of activity in the production of minerals, soft drinks and drinking waters. Under the leadership of Vasile Bejenari, the company has strengthened its leadership in the local market, with a remarkable increase thanks to continued investment and innovation.
In 2022-2024, GELIBERT benefited from financial support in the form of non-repayable grants through the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, funded by the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
“Our first project, focusing on internationalisation, was worth lei 4 million, of which 2 million were awarded as a grant. The second project was dedicated to repowering and energy efficiency, with a total investment of lei 3.5 million and a grant of lei 1.76 million,” specified the entrepreneur.
Grants allowed the company to purchase a modern bottling line and one for sufficiency of PET glass. Vasile Bejenari highlighted the positive impact of these grants:
“These two projects allowed us to develop and modernise our business, increasing the sustainability and competitiveness of our products on the local and international market.” It added that, without the support of the Moldovan government and the European Union, the company would have had to resort to bank loans for funding.
EU support has been crucial for company development. In a visit to GELIBERT, the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, Jānis Mažeiks, stressed the importance of collaboration between the EU and local companies in promoting economic growth and innovation.
EU financial support has improved the quality of drinking water bottled by the company and made it possible to equip it with performing equipment that ensures energy efficiency and reduces carbon emissions.
As GELIBERT celebrates a quarter of work, reaffirms its commitment to further innovation and expansion in new markets, maintaining high quality standards, with the continued support of the European Union and national development programmes.
