After working in a leisure area outside the country, Veronica decided to launch a similar one in the district. Thus, two years ago he set up his own business offering agri-tourism services in the region during the summer season. These are swimming pools, cloves and a bar.

Acknowledges that the road to building her dream here at home was difficult, but it deserved the effort. And EU financial support accessed through the Women in Business Programme, managed by ODIMMit was an additional incentive to overcome any obstacle. The grant received was used to procure the machinery in the kitchen of the recreational area. Without this medium, he says the woman, the purchase would probably not have been made anymore. Also from the grant, the entrepreneur promoted his business onlineso he had customers not only from Sângereibut also in the municipalities of the districts Boy, Yedinner, Orhei and even from Ukraine.

Thanks to European support, it has managed to provide citizens in the region with a modern space for private parties and events.

The Covid-19 pandemic has, however, been a truly critical moment for Veronica Chernogal, given that agri-tourism has been one of the most affected during this period. It is ready to defeat the challenges on the way. Moreover, it also plans to launch services for the cold part of the year in order to diversify the business and offer its customers all the comfort at home.

The Women in Business programme was launched in autumn 2016 with the objective of promoting the economic and social ability of women in rural areas by reducing gender inequality, business growth and development, changing the perception of innovation, increasing access to resources, services and technologies. The programme is financed from the state budget and co-financed by EU funds.
