The minimum area required is at least one hectare cultivated and farmed organically, which is not very problematic for this medical plant. Perhaps only the bureaucracy linked to the organic certification of the farm is more cumbersome!

Of great importance for the success of this semi-agricultural business is the way of promoting the products and thus the type of products to which you will turn. In this way, you can promote: dandelion stem race, dandelion infusion, dandelion decoct, dandelion and horseradish fluid extract, dandelion tincture, dandelion lettuce, dandelion juice or even various dandelion creams. Syrup may also be prepared and hay in dry form may be used for therapeutic baths.

Professor Avram Fițiu also describes the possible market for organic dandelion extracts: recovery clinics, Slow Food restaurants, family doctors, home and green shops, on-farm therapeutic services.

‘A net income of EUR 2.000 requires a turnover of EUR 50.000 per year’explains Professor Fițiu.

A single preparation in the amount of 10.000 units per EUR 5/preparation in the amount of 250 ml;

Preparations in the amount of 5.000 units each (per EUR 5 per preparation of 250 ml);

Preparatione in quantity of 3.400 unitI each (EUR 5/250 ml preparation).
