Katerina Kot, Heart Pure: Our project helps the community and makes the life of cats in the street better
One year ago, Katerina Kot launched a charity shop selling various hand-made things and other objects to support animals in the street, in particular cats. All the income earned goes towards the care, sterilisation and adaptation of the cats in the street.
“The company was strengthened to continue the idea of AO “The Urban Felina” caring for cats in the street. We employ women and young people who do not just want an income, a salary, but also want to make our city a better place for street animals and cats in particular.”
“Heart Pure” it is a unique company in the Republic of Moldova because of its vision and mission to help cats in the street.
In the future, the founder of the company plans to promote this type of activity not only in the Republic of Moldova but also beyond its boundaries.
The social work carried out in the “Heart Pure” is of particular benefit to the city of Chisinau as well as to the abandoned cats in the streets.
“Our project helps the community and makes the life of cats in the street better, provides protection, food and the most important positive emotions for every buyer or employee. Each client knows that they don’t give money for the business to make a profit, but dedicates their money to help those who are very often ignored by both the authorities and society.”says Katerina Kot.
In the eyes of Katerina Kotmaking social entrepreneurship means dedicating yourself entirely to an ultimate goal, wanting a change in society. She also hopes that this type of activity will develop as quickly as possible in the Republic of Moldova, as our country needs social affairs, which aim not only to make a profit but also to solve a social problem.
“Every entrepreneur is a hero because he has tried and taken a risk, and those who do it with a clear vision, who solve a problem are more than heroes.”
Campaign initiated and supported by the transnational Finance4SocialChange project, co-financed by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI).
