Business started from Dorder for family and homeland
The opportunity to return home has given rise to a business idea. Husband Olesa Viscun of Rezina village, Ungheni district she has been working abroad for years. However, he wants a better future in his home country. He therefore decided, together with his wife, to build a rabbit farm. The wish of the man is to invest in a better future at home in order to be with the family.
Mr and Mrs Viscun inspired by the successful history of Doina Izmana young woman who started her own business just 18 years ago with the aim of bringing her father back home from abroad.
Olesea Viscun she started to set up the business on her own, with her husband continuing to work to secure the investments to be made. Partner in business creation ODIMMby providing EU funding through The “PARE 1 + 1” programme. The grant was used to procure the building materials needed to finish the building, as well as the purchase of rabbit cages.
Olesea combines the teacher’s job with the new entrepreneur status. Prepared for the new challenge with several trainings ODIMM programmes. Moreover, he also participated in training where he learned the methods of proper rearing and care of rabbits. It looks like a heavy and cumbersome job, but thanks to EU supportthe path to success seems closer.
The pandemic has been a challenge for Olesea Viscunshe is at the start of her business. She went through several moments of hesitation, believing that she would stop the business just before starting it, but surpassed them, her motivation being that such activity could become even more profitable in times of crisis.
Now, the entrepreneur is ready to fulfil her husband’s dream of having a small business within a reunited family.
The “PARE 1 + 1” Economic Discharge Programme operates under the “1 + 1” rule – each leu invested from the candidate’s remittances is replaced by a grant leu from the programme. Grant beneficiaries may be citizens of the Republic of Moldova working abroad and their first-degree relatives. The programme is financed from the state budget and co-financed by European Union funds.
