He grew up with the aroma of fresh bread from the oven, which later influenced his destiny. Ecaterina Colibaba from the town of Râșcani help their parents manage the work of their bakery. As he was passionate about art as a young child, there he had the opportunity to test his talk and imagination... in the dough. In the small bakery, her first tortures and sweet cakes were born, the decorator she thought and shaped. Even so, the idea that this passion could make a business was still far from Ecaterina.

Later, after the parental leave, the young person returned to work with new aspirations. Then she was born Vanilla Bloom, the sweet business of Ecaterine. He has set up a company whose business is the production of desserts using only natural ingredients. First of all, the entrepreneur followed several specialist trainings from international experts on the manufacture of pastry goods. After that, she started the adventure of her life. It first began with the preparation of sweet meals for private events, today performing various desserts, from torture to biscuits.

In 2019, the young entrepreneur benefited from EU funding through The Women in Business Programme, it allowed her to grow her business. The money was invested in procuring the machines needed for the bakery: one freezer, 2 mixers and baking trays. The acquisitions allowed him to increase his working capacity, which subsequently also contributed to the increase in profit.

European support has been strong, says the young woman. Also from the grant, two employees of the company followed refresher training and the company’s webpage was created which generated a higher number of clients. The entrepreneur now also places orders for other districts in the North of the country. Moreover, the sweets of Râșcani also conquered Chisinau.

“This grant was first moral and then financial support that helped me transform a soul activity into a business for the taste of all”supports Ecaterina.

The Women in Business programme was launched in autumn 2016 with the objective of promoting the economic and social ability of women in rural areas by reducing gender inequality, business growth and development, changing the perception of innovation, increasing access to resources, services and technologies. The programme is financed from the state budget and co-financed by EU funds.
