Maternity leave was an inspiration for Svetlana Coroi in Cahul. The young woman decided to start her own business. The idea came from an older passion inherited from her mother. Now it’s about to stay safe in the business world thanks to the project Local Ocupare Cahul Partnership.

Soon, the city centre of Cahul will be imbued with a smell of fresh bread. Svetlana aimed to open a rubbish shop right in the heart of the city, located next to a university and two schools. The location is more than appropriate given that the students, as well as passers-by, are potential customers of Svetlana.

Decided that her passion for the production of bakery products went beyond the kitchen boundaries. This is why he started sketching out his business plan, which was made feasible by the project.

Entrepreneur to market covrigi, mini pizza and other bakery specialities that it will produce both at a point of sale and with home delivery. The young woman’s project will come to life thanks to the grant awarded under the Programme “Women in Business”.

The young woman says that it is a chance to engage in an activity that will bring her satisfaction and profit, and the period of childcare leave gave her new strength and self-confidence.

The implementation of the investment project was made possible by cooperation between the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO). 11 businesses initiated by young people and women in the Cahul district were financially supported as a result of this Local Partnership for Employment.
