“Women’s Entrepreneurship Gala 2017” nominated its winners
Moldova’s National Women’s Platform in partnership with the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) nominated the four winners of the ‘FEMIN-2017 Entrepreneurship Gala’ competition, third edition. The award ceremony took place today at the National Women’s Forum of Moldova: “Female entrepreneurship – potential for regional development”.According to the results of the evaluation committee, the following women were awarded prizes:
1. Award “Start of the year – new product on the market” has been awarded Ms Victoria Danilă, company Davitex Neo. The company is active in the manufacture of textile products, in particular clothing products for premature children and children up to the age of 2. Make functional, ergonomic and constructive compositional products. The company launched a new product on the market, functional clothing products for premature children and is a registered trademark.
2. Award “Start of the year – innovative startups” has been awarded Ala Lerner, Antigona companyfrom Chisinau. The company started its operations on 1 January 2017 and the first range of Premium Class linen products for women has recently been launched. On 1 November 2017, the trade mark ‘B * Queen’ was registered. It is the first domestic premium range female linen product.
3.The award “Contribution to society – Corporate Social Responsibility” has been awarded Tatiana Zaftoni, Corect Studium. The company was founded in 2012 and employs 43 people, 40 of whom are women and provide educational services. The company fulfils the 7 principles of corporate social responsibility. We will list just a few of them: caring for employees and children, charity activities, setting up playgrounds for children in the municipality of Grătiești, providing free vouchers for children from socially vulnerable strata for attending courses and day camps organised during the summer holidays, and much more.
4. Award “Big Prize – Entrepreneurship of the Year” has been awarded Viorica Neaga, manager of Constilcard. This company is a relatively young company, launched on the market in November 2015 and active in textile manufacturing. It employs 29 people, of whom 26 are women. They use only new machinery, which allows them to reduce the costs of machine maintenance, electricity consumption, creating a climate that is as favourable as possible for employees. For the next 2 years, the company aims to exit directly for export by contracting directly with customers over the country boundaries. The company meets much of the corporate social responsibility principles, recently launched a new garment factory and created 40 new jobs.
The winners of the competition were handed out Diplomas of Honour and price gifts from the sponsors and partners of the competition:
Viorica Cosmetics, Supraten, FinComBank and Melkior.
The ‘Women’s Entrepreneurship Gala 2017’ competition aims to promote the results of companies founded and run by women. This is achieved by identifying and publicly recognising the most talented and successful women, who have achieved outstanding results in various fields of activity, helped to create the right working conditions, participated in the social-economic development of the locality in which they work, publicised the results achieved by women in various fields and promoted the positive image of women.
The ‘Women’s Entrepreneurship Gala 2017’ competition is organised annually and aims to promote women’s successful business practices and remark the most competitive businesses in all regions of the Republic of Moldova that use effective marketing strategies and international quality management standards.
