Today, 37 beneficiaries of the PARE 1 + 1 Programme signed grant contracts for an amount of RON 7.26 million.
The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday 20 June at the premises of the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM).Beneficiary entrepreneurs will invest around RON 20 million in the country’s economy and create around 150 jobs. Of the 37 entrepreneurs who signed grant contracts today, 15 are returning migrant workers to the Republic of Moldova. Their determination to return to the country and invest the money earned abroad in their own business is the key purpose of the PARE 1 + 1 programme.
Of all companies applying for grants, 62 % are active in agriculture: growing of cereals and vines; growing of fruit (apples, nuts, peaches and cherries); growing vegetables under shelter; livestock farming (cattle farms, rabbits, quinchilla) and beekeeping, and 22 % are active in the provision of services (hotel and leisure services, specialised printing and design services, transport of goods and construction services) and 16 % in the manufacturing sector, with activities in the production of furniture, pellets, the manufacture of PVC doors and glazing, textile products, and the production of paper, cardboard and wood packaging.
Beneficiaries are from 21 districts of the country: 8 companies are active in mill. Chisinau, 3 companies in the Teleneș district, 2 companies each operate in the districts of Basarabeasca, Hzelști, Florești, Cahul, Rîșcani, UTA Găgăuzia and one company each in Călărași, Cimișlia, Dondușeni, Ialoveni, Glodeni, Leova, Nisporeni, Orhei, Soroca, Sîngerei, Strășeni, Ștefan-Voda, Taraclia and Ungheni.
The signatories of the PARE 1 + 1 programme are to contribute their share of the investment according to the 1 + 1 rule of the money earned in 13 states: Belgium, Bulgaria, the Russian Federation, France, Israel, Italy, Latvia, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the USA and Sudan. 

Since the beginning of this year, ODIMM has signed 70 grant contracts in the amount of RON 14 million.
The programme for the drawing up of remittances in the economy ‘PARE 1 + 1’ aims to mobilise the human and financial resources of Moldovan citizens working abroad in the sustainable economic development of our country by stimulating the creation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The programme operates under the ‘1 + 1’ rule, so that each leu invested from remittances will be replaced by a leu in the form of a grant. Grant beneficiaries may be citizens of the Republic of Moldova working abroad and beneficiaries of remittances, first-degree relatives.
