The award ceremony took place today, 28 November 2019, at the ‘MOLDOVA VERDE’ International SME Conference, carried out by the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.

This year, companies from: Chisinau, Orhei, Dondușeni, Rezina, Anenii Noi, Hcești, Ștefan Vodă and UTA Gagauzia.

According to the results of the evaluation committee, the following winners were selected:

Environmental Achievement Award – “RIKIPAL” S.R.L;

— Award for achievements in the area of responsibility towards employees – ‘PARTENER SELECT’ S.R.L.;

Community Development Achievement Award – “VISAPINA-IMPEX” S.R.L.;

Award for achievements towards clients, suppliers, business partners – “TROMMIGOU” S.R.L.;

Large prize for important achievements in several CSR areas – ‘DAVITEX NEO’ S.R.L.;

— Special Award for the Adoption of a Green Business Model – G.T “YGRICK – GROUP”.

The winners received diplomas and vouchers from the sponsor of the Moldova Agroindbank Commercial Bank S.A. competition.

The ‘SME – Model of Social Responsibility’ national competition has been organised annually by ODIMM since 2010, with the aim of promoting this concept and disseminating the best practices of SMEs. The participants in the competition are companies that qualify as SMEs, carry out economic activity for more than 1 year, are residents of the Republic of Moldova and have carried out at least one of the corporate social responsibility activities.

Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept that encourages companies to take into account the interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on the community, customers, employees, shareholders and the environment. This commitment goes beyond statutory obligations to comply with legislation and manifests itself in voluntary actions to improve the quality of life for employees and their families, the community and society as a whole.
