The state supports the diaspora’s return to home by providing grants through the PARE 1 + 2 programme
14 companiescreated by diaspora workers or their first-degree relatives, they signed contracts with the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) today, 28 December, 2022 to benefit from grant by means of Programme for the discharge of remittances in the economy ‘APPARENTLY 1 + 2’. The total grant amount is 3,84 million leiand the volume of investment in the economy will be around RON 9 million.
Thus, 12 businesses will access up to RON 250 thousand, following the 1 + 1 rule, which means that for each leu invested from remittances, the State will allocate an additional RON 1 in the form of a grant. Another 2 companies, which had previously received funding under component 1 + 1, were accepted for component 1 + 2, and will receive support for expansion and development of up to RON 500 thousand, i.e. RON 2 in the form of a grant for each leu invested.
The representatives of the 14 companies selected for funding are migrants working in 8 states: UK (6), Israel (2), Italy (1), Germany (1), France (1), Romania (1), Spain (1), USA (1).
7 the companies benefiting from the grant operate in the countryside and are located in Hzelști, Soroca, Criuleni, Orhei, Ialoveni and Drochia.
Of the total number of grant applications, 6 companies are active in the manufacturing sector, with the following types of activity: manufacture of furniture, manufacture of medical equipment, manufacture of wooden hulls, etc. Other 2 businesses are being started in the field of agriculture, namely beekeeping. At the same time, 3 companies specialise in the provision of services: transport and storage services and health and social work services, and 3 companies are focused on making grape wines; production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning; manufacture of articles of cement, concrete and plaster.

Entrepreneurs who have been accepted today for non-repayable financial support for Component 1 + 2 include: Alexandru Negruță from the municipality of Chișinău. He runs a furniture manufacturing and marketing business.
‘In 2016, I accessed non-repayable financing through the rule ‘1 + 1’ in the amount of RON 200, money that we invested in machinery necessary for the production process. Our company currently employs 21 people, the products are very successful and we have set ourselves to expand, we are developing to cover the full range of furniture required by the market. The grant of RON 500 will be used for high-performance machinery in order to meet demand. In the near future, we also want to export our furniture products’, he stressed the businessman.

In the current year, this programme has been selected for funding 136 companies, totalling approximately RON 30 million, generating investments in the economy of approximately RON 76 million.
