18.09.2025, Chisinau — On 17-18 September 2025, the Pitching session for the Presentation of Business and Investment Projectsorganised within Programme to support digital innovations and technological start-ups.

Over two days, 32 companies in the Republic of Moldova presented their innovative ideas to representatives Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship and experts from Moldova Innovation Technology Parkfor the purpose of obtaining funding.

The event, which took place under the aegis of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation, is of an informative and exploratory nature, providing a broad perspective on the proposed business ideas and potential of the participating teams.

At the event, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Economic Development and Digitalisation, Doina NISTOR, said:

Today we seen how life ideas through the courage and passion of young people who do not fear to think differently. Technological start-ups do not only mean business but dreams transformed into solutions that can change communities and bring Moldova closer to the European single market. The government will continue to be with you to make every prototype product, every team to grow and every idea to have the chance to cool the world..”

Referring to the importance of supporting innovative start-ups, Vadim Codreanu, Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, stressed the commitment of the institution to support the transformation of courageous ideas into sustainable and sustainable economic initiatives:

Supporting innovative start-ups is a strategic element in strengthening a competitive and forward-looking economy. Through this programme, the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship creates a favourable institutional framework for innovative ideas to be turned into viable business capable of generating relevant economic value, jobs and technological solutions. ODA remains a consistent partner in supporting entrepreneurs actively contributing to the modernisation and digitalisation of the national economy.

In this process, Moldova Innovation Technology Park focuses its efforts on supporting local innovations and fostering the creative potential of Moldovan start-ups.

The investment projects were assessed by a team of experts involved under the IUUOVATE Moldova Programme, funded by Sweden.

It is worth mentioning that 70 applications were submitted to the first call, of which 14 companies in the field of software development, data processing and web site management were selected for non-repayable financing totalling lei 5.6 million, generating investments of more than lei 9 million, supported by the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

During the second call, interest rose significantly, i.e. 110 applications, of which 20 companies in various fields – from construction and video production to development of software and electrical equipment – benefited from non-repayable funding worth over lei 8.7 million, generating investments of over lei 18.7 million, supported by the Western NIS Enterprise Fund.

For the Programme to support digital innovations and technological start-ups, implemented on the basis of Government Decision No 327 of 5 June 2025, the Government of the Republic of Moldova allocated a budget of lei 30 million. This reflects the strong commitment to the development of the country’s digital and technological ecosystem and the desire to support even more innovations and start-ups with growth potential.

With the two financing measures – up to lei 500.000 for start-ups in the start-up phase and up to RON 2.000.000 for projects in development phase – ODA supports each stage of the entrepreneurial pathway, from idea to scaling.
