In 2014, the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ programme started the ‘Association Benefits’ campaign, which aimed to create a platform for communication between entrepreneurs in the republic and thus to promote cooperation between businesses.

General objective the aim of the campaign is to increase the competitiveness of economic operators, beneficiaries of the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ programme.

A series of workshops is organised as part of the campaign, helping to improve entrepreneurs’ perception of the importance of association and cooperation. The events are geared towards identifying opportunities for the development of economic operators, facilitating the exchange of information, developing relations with public authorities.

Training is organised at the workshops, where guests, grouped by areas of interest, identify opportunities for collaboration, analyse difficulties and problems they face, seek solutions, discuss opportunities for increased sales.

On 19 March 2015, approximately 30 beneficiaries of the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ programme participated in the 5 workshop of the campaign, which took place under the general heading “Efficient sales techniques – Secrets of business communication”.

As part of their training, the beneficiaries of the Programme, who received non-repayable development funding for businesses in areas such as beekeeping, the production of pastry and bakery products, the breeding of rabbits, ostriches, quails and other spheres, learned how to develop a marketing and sales strategy within the company. At the same time, they learned about customer search techniques and the importance of customer loyalty, developed schemes to identify distribution channels, including online ones. At the same time, the focus of the workshop was on communication with both clients and business partners, highlighting the benefits of business cooperation as well as the difficulties that may arise in the association process.

The event is funded under the ILO/UNDP Global Joint Programme “Integration of Migration into National Development Strategies”.

It should be noted that, over the period 2014-2015, approximately 100 beneficiaries of the Programme were involved in the ‘Association Benefits’ Campaign, thus stimulating the creation of business partnerships and the development of entrepreneurs’ skills in the field of communication, promotion and sales growth.

Note: Between 2011 and 2014, ODIMM supported through the Programme “APPARENTLY 1 + 1”, creation and development of approximately 500 businesses. Those enterprises are co-financed by the resources obtained across the country by the Moldovan migrant workers and the grants allocated under the Programme.
