The annual Women’s Forum gathered more than 500 women from Moldova
Through this Forum, National Women’s PlatformIt has raised the attention of the population to the role of women in society, created a platform for discussion to identify opportunities for women’s empowerment involving representatives of central, local public administration, international organisations and business representatives.
The event was attended by more than 500 women from all Moldovan districts in different fields: entrepreneurship, public sector, obscure organisations, development partners, donor organisations, civil society and media.
The event was launched by Ms Iulia IABANJI, Director-General ODIMM and the initiator Moldovan National Women’s Platformspoke about the mission and importance of Platform in developing women’s potential, women’s involvement in social and economic life and their support activities in 2016. Ms Iabanji, came with supportive advice to all women participants to be strong, optimistic, active and to serve as success stories for new young generations in business.
The Forum was moderated by Vera Nastasiujournalist and founder, Dicție.md ', as well as a successful woman who created an atmonsphere of dialogue, where female speakers spoke about their successful history, the pillars underpinning their career, but also some of their business challenges.
The best models of women we have to appreciate, we are ourselves ", said the head of the UN Women country representation, Ms Ulziisuren Jamsranshe is a clear supporter of women in decision-making, and solidarity, support and continuous improvement are the key words for becoming a successful woman.
Ms Speranta Olaru, Project Manager at the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, reiterated the continued support of the EU Delegation to the organisation of the NFM information seminars and noted that it was commendable that 500 participants had reached the Forum, with more and more united, and that we could create beautiful things together”.
The event was awarded to the winners of the 6th edition National competition ‘SME social responsibility model’ . The competition is organised annually and aims to highlight small and medium-sized enterprises, which are actively engaged in social and corporate activity.
The competition partners and sponsors were: BC, Moldova Agroinbank’ SA, SRL Hamster’’ Evenda and Angry BusinessThey have offered gifts and cash prizes to the winners.
Thus, the companies were nominated:

Meteor SRL, Anenii Noi district, s. Chetrosu — for environmental protection activities;
Le, STIȘ SVETLANA’, from or. Stefan Voda — for activities to respect the working conditions of employees;
SRL, EDUJOC 'of or. Chisinau for social integration activities and community support.
The participants of the event went home with gifts, offered at the tombola by the partners.SRL Stil Tur’, SA Viorica Cosmetic’, Alina Bradu, recipes of Pharmacii, Felicia’, Radisson Blu Hetel and Gloria.
Please note that during 2 years of activity Moldovan National Women’s Platform organised 9 information events to raise awareness of empowering female potential attended by 1000 people, promoted 19 successful histories, organised 19 product presentations and held 9 mini-exhibitions, and organised o economic mission for 15 textile entrepreneurs in Poland.
The event was organised with the support of partners: Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, UN Women, World Bank, International Organisation for Migration BC, Fincombank’ SA, BC, Moldova Agroinbank’ SA.
