A new support tool for the development of the Network of Business Incubators in Moldova (RIAM), has been approved by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. This was announced by Minister Sergiu Railean at the working session of the Consultative Council of RIAM.

‘We ordered the allocation of RON 2.2 million for a new instrument to support the development of the Business Incubators Network. The aim is to strengthen the capacities of the representatives of the network in assisting and increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas’, stated Minister Sergiu Railean.

Sergiu Railean also added that the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure would provide all the necessary support to make incubators’ work even more productive, but also to help them meet all the challenges.

The Facility will be implemented and monitored by the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODSME).

“ODSMEs encourage the development of Moldovan small and medium-sized enterprises and the Business Incubators Network is an important platform to support regional economic development. We are pleased that we have the opportunity to help increase the capacities of the 11 business incubators in assisting and supporting rural SMEs. I strongly believe that the new instrument will ensure the competitiveness of businesses to overcome the crisis and prevent business failure’, mentioned Iulia Costin, Director-General of ODIMM.
