During the period 18-19 March, representatives ODIMM participated in the 3 rd Workshop “Policies and instruments to support second chance entrepreneurs implemented in the Danube Region countries”.

The event took place in the framework of DanubeChance Project 2.0 “Accepting failure to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to second chance business in the Danube Region”, bringing together in virtual format participants from 13 Danube partner countries, representatives of state institutions and organisations supporting entrepreneurs in partner countries, international experts, mentors.

Presented at the Workshop Regional Action Plan on Supporting Moldovan Entrepreneurs in Second Chance in Business. It has been prepared by ODIMM in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure it comprises 4 major actions: Initiating a cultural change; Introducing policies to support second chance entrepreneurs in entrepreneurship support policies; Introduction of the Early Warning Mechanism; Development of support instruments specific to entrepreneurs in second chances of doing business.

The topics addressed at the event concerned the strategic priorities of supporting entrepreneurs in second chances of doing business, the development of tools to support entrepreneurs in difficulty in the Danube countries, the existing bankruptcy and insolvency procedures in the partner countries of the project.

The DanubeChance2.0 project – “Accepting failure to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to second chance in the Danube Region” is co-financed by the European Union through the Danube Transnational Programme. The project aims to develop second chance entrepreneurship policies and practical solutions to improve the entrepreneurial culture to avoid losing entrepreneurial potential and overcome the stigmatisation of entrepreneurs after business failure. The main results of the project are: development of a strategy on access to second chance for entrepreneurs in the Danube region, development of the educational programme for the Trial and Error Academy and launch of the business restructuring initiative.
