ODSMEs encourage SMEs to adapt to new market requirements
“ODSMEs develop and implement integrated entrepreneurial support mechanisms and tools to help companies meet the challenges”stated Iulia Costin Director-General ODIMMat the kick-off conference of the 22th edition of the Economic Magazine MEGA (Moldovan Economic Growth Analysis) entitled: “Economy and public finances in 2021: risks, projections and policy recommendations for recovery”.
Thus, during the pandemic crisis, solutions were provided to boost digitalisation, technology and business modernisation processes. As a result, in 2020, more than 3000 peopleapproved for grant 824 investment projects in the amount of RON 133 millionthis will help create and maintain 2100 jobs.
According to the Director-General for SMEs, new national support programmes will be developed and launched this year to support entrepreneurs in difficulty, cluster initiatives, social entrepreneurship, rural tourism, business digitalisation, etc.
“ODIMM’s mission is to help educate and sustain the new generation of entrepreneurs who will revitalise the Moldovan economy”concluded Iulia Costin.
The online event, organised by the Independent Analytical Centre Expert Group, brought together policymakers, representatives of civil society organisations, the donor community, academia and opinion leaders to discuss the socio-economic situation in the Republic of Moldova and the solutions that need to be implemented for the economic recovery.
