Most of the young people present at the ODIMM stand are graduates of vocational schools and higher education institutions, looking for a job or wishing to start their own business. Following discussions with ODSME representatives, they set out the problems they face in this respect: lack of necessary knowledge and experience in the field, financial resources, and environmental uncertainty when starting a business.
In this context, ODSME consultants provided information on implemented programmes providing information and financial support, knowledge and entrepreneurship consultations to those with an initiative who wish to start a business or develop an existing one.
Young people attending the event showed increased interest in the PNAET Programme, which offers free training and advice to entrepreneurs in areas of interest and access to soft loans with a grant component. The programme aims to enhance the role of young people in the social – economic life of the country by setting up new businesses in rural municipalities and developing existing ones.
Business incubators are also an effective tool in supporting young people in the regions. In this respect, young people have learned about the logistical, administrative and advisory support they can benefit from at the stage of developing the business idea.
The young people present at the ODIMM stand were urged to apply also to the services of the Business Assistance and Consultancy Centre for further professional skills in business start-up, development and expansion. The centre offers free consultations and operates on the premises of business incubators located in 9 districts of the country.DSC 0054aaa edited
