Today, at the Diaspora Congress, Yulia Costin, Director-General of ODIMM presented the support tools and promotion opportunities for the return and reintegration of people from abroad into the domestic economic circuit.

Diaspora representatives athey were told how to start a business in Moldova and what steps to take to access a grant.

“MSMEs implement a wide range of business support programmes for different categories of companies, administer a Credit Guarantee Fund with accessible financial products and support entrepreneurs at all stages of business development, facilitate the connection of small businesses with large suppliers, promote the association and promotion of SMEs at regional and international level. We run a special business support tool for migrants – the PARE 1 + 1 Discharge in Economics Programme, through which our citizens can receive advice and training over two weeks and access a grant of up to RON 250.000. We want to make the Republic of Moldova an attractive place to start and develop successful business”.

At the same time, Iulia Costin reminded the assistance that in order to improve the overall policy framework in the area of entrepreneurship, ODSMEs ensure a continuous dialogue between business and public authorities, calling on: Rdiaspora epresentants make suggestions and announce difficulties and challenges in accessing services and funds for SMEs.

It was also highlighted that MSMEs are in the process of digitalising all entrepreneurial support services in order to simplify MSMEs’ access to grants, financial guarantees and entrepreneurial education.
