ODA at Moldova Trade Forum 2024: Innovative solutions for competitive and sustainable exports
21 November 2024, Chisinau,— Moldova Trade Forum, dedicated to promoting exports and establishing business partnerships in Moldova, reached its fourth edition. The event brings together more than 120 domestic producers, international experts, government officials and representatives of development partners to explore current trends in international trade and innovative solutions for sustainable development.
In the framework of the second discussion panel of Moldova Trade Forum 2024, Vadim Codreanu, Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, highlighted opportunities for access to new export markets for Moldovan companies.
Discussions focused on key topics for sustainable economic development, such as access to sustainable finance and the implementation of ESG practices (environment, social and governance). Principles that are increasingly relevant in international trade, giving companies a competitive advantage and helping to ensure long-term development.
Another important issue addressed in the panel was the role of clusters in promoting exports. They were more important in facilitating collaboration among companies, access to common resources and increasing competitiveness on global markets through efficient use of infrastructure and innovation.
In his speech, Vadim Codreanu, Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, stressed the positive impact of the Growth Programme for Export and Internationalisation of SMEs on the success of business in the long term.
‘I encourage all entrepreneurs to apply the SME Growth Programme to Export and Internationalisation of SMEs, managed by the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship. This programme offers valuable opportunities for business expansion in international markets, enhancing competitiveness and adopting best practices for sustainable economic development.”, said Vadim Codreanu.
The event runs from 21 to 22 November 2024 and is organised within the framework of the UNDP “Development of Export Capabilities on the Nistrea’s shores” (AdTrade), with financial support from Sweden and the United Kingdom. The agenda includes sessions dedicated to access to finance, export opportunities and business digitalisation solutions.
Moldova Trade Forum continues to be a key platform for strengthening economic relations and building strategic partnerships, giving Moldovan companies access to new prospects for development and growth.
