New Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs under the Women in Business (PFA) Pilot Programme
The Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) announces the launch of the third Call for Projects under Component II of the Women in Business (PFA) Pilot Programme.
Applications for the Grant Competition may be submitted from 20 December 2018 to 31 January 2019. by filling in the form.
Women who manage a business for up to 2 years can participate in the Grant Component. The maximum grant amount will be RON 165 and will not exceed 90 % of the investment project. Of the total grant amount of RON 110 thousand is channelled for investment in the purchase of equipment and software, and the remaining RON 55 thousand for business development services: research, training and promotion. Businesses in the city of Chisinau are not eligible.
Previously, 201 investment projects were approved for non-repayable financing under the first two calls. Grants amounted to RON 28 million, which will boost total investment of over RON 40 million in the national economy and create more than 800 new jobs.
The first two calls were financed from the state budget and the money for the third call will be provided by the European Union.
The pilot programme “Women in Business” was launched in autumn 2016. This government initiative aims to promote economic and social ability in rural areas by reducing gender inequality, increasing and developing business, changing the perception of innovation, increasing access to modern resources, services and technologies.
