New grants for women entrepreneurs
The 72 entrepreneurs, which won grants for business development under the Finance in Business Programme, signed, today, electronically grant contracts. In an online session organised by the ODIMM, entrepreneurs were informed about the contractual provisions and the steps to take to make good use of the grant obtained.
At the online event, the Minister for Economic Affairs and Infrastructure, Sergiu Răilean welcomed the courage of the starter entrepreneurs to set up a business at all easy in this time to reinvigorate society, reassuring them that the State will create a favourable economic climate in order to be able to implement its investment projects.
“There are always persevered me perseverance, with which our entrepreneurs carried out their projects, facing all the difficulties and stereotypes in society. With this female entrepreneurship programme, we are accompanied and give them real support to the business they have initiated”said Minister Railean.
Iulia Costin, Director General ODIMM, encouraged entrepreneurs to be perseverent and always looking for new opportunities to succeed in developing successful business.

Grant beneficiaries will develop innovative business such as: production of medical disinfectants and accommodation and food service activities, handmade natural cosmetics, wood-based coal, personalised wood toys, teacher training, mental arithmetic centre and child diplomacy, communication consultancy, personalised pliable photos and design of landscape design.
Dana Golban is one of the winnings of this competition. The young antrepreneur will lay the foundations for innovative business in the city of Soroca – a mental arithmetic centre for children.
“The pandemic period came with great uncertainty and fric for us, but throughout this chaos, we learned about the possibility of accessing a grant under the “Femei in Business” programme. I am uns happy that I will receive this funding to open a performing centre in Soroca’s city. We will also take into account new trends – to develop an online business platform. I urge women who will have their own business to participate in the Programme. Together, we can create frumble things at us home”supports the antreprenation.
We recall that Call 5 small grants under the Women in Business Programme took place during the state of emergency in R.Moldova (11 March – 11 April 2020). The competition has registered 156 entrepreneurs from all regions of the country, which manages an enterprise from 0 to 24 months. The technical and economic and financial evaluation of the files was carried out online by independent experts and the Monitoring Committee of the “Food Business” Programme.
The funding of the 72 women-managed companies will create around 219 new jobs. Around 55 % of the investment projects that will access non-repayable financing are related to the provision of services, another 38 % will be active in manufacturing, while 7 % are from agriculture and zooshn.
To date, 395 investment projects have been financed through the Basin Business Programme. The approved projects amounted to lei 53.94 million, which generated lei 93 million in investment in the economy and facilitated the creation of more than 1,600 new jobs. The maximum amount of grants under this component is lei 165.000/beneficiary, which can be used to purchase investment items and business development services.
The programme is financed by the State budget and supplemented by European Union funds through the ‘support for SMEs in rural areas’ project.
