In this context, Iulia Costin, Director-General of ODIMM, stressed the importance of supporting the involvement of young people in business. “ODIMM advocates and supports the formation of an entrepreneurial culture among the younger generation. This is illustrated by the existence of business support programmes aimed exclusively at young people. An example of this is the National Programme “START for YOUTH: a sustainable business at home”, successfully implemented in the Republic of Moldova. I admire the ingenuity and courage of young people in the Republic of Moldova and Romania and hope that this project will lay the foundations for long-lasting academic and business partnerships”.
At the same time, Viorel Bostan, Rector of the Technical University of the Republic of Moldova, welcomed the importance of the domestic textile industry, emphasising the role of the UTM projects in developing entrepreneurial culture among students.
Partners from above Prut, Neculai Vițelaru, President of Iași County Employers of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Maria Carmen Loghin, Vice-Rector of Iași Technical University “Gheorghe Asachi” expressed their confidence that the new cross-border project is necessary for the light industry in the two countries.
