4 June 2025, Chisinau — In May 2025, the Moldovan government, together with development partners, continued to provide concrete support to entrepreneurs, young families and companies across the country through programmes that directly contribute to economic and social development.
For the compensation for electricity expenses, the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) paid lei 15.1 million, on the basis of 565 requests submitted by companies in the manufacturing sector. This government support reduces the impact of energy costs on businesses. Applications can be submitted online, simply and quickly, via the EVO application or the MCabinet platform, in the dedicated module ‘Compensations’.
In the same month, 295 beneficiaries received state guarantees amounting to lei 237.6 million under the “First Home PLUS” programme, which allowed housing loans totalling lei 389.6 million. The programme continues to make it easier for young people and families to access their homes.
In the entrepreneurial sector, 126 companies received grants totalling lei 26.31 million under the programmes managed by ODA. Out of this total, 35 businesses benefited from external funds and 91 grants were provided from the state budget.
In addition, other 80 companies were approved for financing, with a total support of lei 22.3 million, generating investment estimated at lei 42.1 million in the domestic economy.
Through the Credit Guarantee Fund, 37 entrepreneurs have benefited from guarantees totalling about lei 50 million, thus facilitating their access to bank financing for business expansion.
Also in May, under the Government Programme 373, 42 entrepreneurs took loans totalling lei 286 million for investment projects worth lei 418 million. The State partially offset the interest of these loans by allocating RON 5.4 million.
Moreover, via the new “Betenable BGK investment” financing product, two entrepreneurs took loans worth lei 985 thousand for investment projects worth lei 1.538 million, oriented towards the energy efficiency of companies.
Behind these figures are people who choose to build home, work with determination and follow their dream. State support gives them confidence, opens them prospects and underpins their willingness to change things well.
