Director General ODIMM, Iulia Costin, stated, at the signature event of the Collaboration Contract, that this partnership is a significant one for both DSOIMMas well as for all women in the Republic of Moldova. “It is the first time a private company becomes a financing partner for the SME DSO programmes. It is a particular gesture, which we consider, first, because it will expand the number of women who will receive support in business start-up. Together we will strengthen our efforts to help women, especially rural women, actively engage in socio-economic life. The practice has shown over time that women in the regions have interesting ideas and business development skills, but only need more motivation and support.”
Ludmila Andronic, Corporate Business Director Efes Moldovareiterated that through this partnership, women in Moldova will be supported to achieve their dreams. “It is a prominent moment for Efes Moldova to kick-start a major component of our social-corporate accountability programme — ”Friends for women”. With this programme we aim to empower and support Moldovan women, especially villages, to make them the engine of social and economic change in our country. Alongside the components ”Friends for tourism” and ”Friends for art”this programme complements our company’s efforts to contribute to Moldova’s local and social development”.
Moreover, ODIMM and EFES agreed to organise and participate in different joint activities promoting the interests of the HEIC, including mutual promotion through virtual platforms.
