7 October 2025, Chisinau — September was evidenced by concrete results and new opportunities for entrepreneurs, young people and the local business environment, thanks to joint efforts by the Moldovan government and international partners.

Thus, in order to compensate for expenses for electricity, the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation assessed and approved 385 applications submitted by companies in the manufacturing sector in September.
Of the total of RON 108.3 million accepted for payment:
— More than lei 97.89 million have already been granted to entrepreneurs to cover electricity expenses from January to September 2025;
— Approximately lei 10.41 million will be transferred to companies’ accounts in the period ahead.
This government support reduces the impact of energy costs on businesses. Applications can be submitted online, simply and quickly, via the EVO application or the MCabinet platform, in the dedicated module ‘Compensations’.

In the entrepreneurial field, ODA disbursed a total of lei 8.9 million in non-repayable funding to 59 companies through the grant programmes it manages. Of this total, 20 businesses benefited from European Union funds and 39 grants were provided from the State budget.
Moreover, in September, other 88 companies in the Republic of Moldova benefited from grants totalling lei 29 million, which will stimulate investment worth around lei 54 million in the domestic economy. The support is provided by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, which contributes lei 18.4 million to 76 companies. In addition, 12 other companies benefit from grants totalling lei 10.6 million from the Programme to increase the competitiveness of local producers and integration in value chains, financed by the Government and the World Bank Group, through ODA and the World Bank’s Competitiveness Implementation Unit.

Through Credit Guarantee Fund38 entrepreneurs benefited from guarantees totalling about lei 37.51 million, thus facilitating their access to finance for expanding businesses worth lei 82.61 million.

Also within Government programme 37362 entrepreneurs took loans totalling lei 179 million, intended to implement investment projects totalling lei 338 million.

As for the loans granted under this programme, in September, the government partly covered interest on loans by paying compensation totalling lei 8.7 million.

Also in September, via the financing product “We are investing Sustenable BGK”loans worth lei 3.4 million were approved, provided via banks for 4 entrepreneurs. These funds are earmarked for the implementation of investment projects worth lei 4.3 million, with the main objective of companies’ energy efficiency.

Since the launch of this product, a total of lei 57.6 million of loans to 30 entrepreneurs have been approved for the implementation of investment projects worth lei 107.1 million.
