Exchange of experience and best practices between bio-food companies in the Republic of Moldova and Italy
ODIMM continue to support the domestic business community in partnering with companies abroad and sharing best practices. Thus, during the period 17-19 November three Moldovan companiesoperating in the bio-food sector, accompanied by the representative ODIMMthey undertook a study visit to the city of Venice, Italy. Travel facilitated by the European project PLAT4FOODwhere ODSME is a partner with others 3 institutions from Bulgaria, Italy and Georgia.
During the visit, domestic economic operators had a number of meetings with similar companies in Venice, including the agricultural enterprise “CA 'de la Marca” and the largest Italian agriculture support association ‘Coldiretti’. Participants also visited the exhibition ‘Fico Eataly’ from Bologna, where they met Italian producers to exchange experience and good practices. In this context, the representative of the Agrofood Cluster of the Emilia Romagna Region and the representative of the Italian bio-food supply chain reiterated their interest in and openness to new collaborations with partners in the European Union and the Eastern Partnership.
The European project PLAT4FOOD aims to support bio-food SMEs and business support organisations in the EU and the Eastern Partnership by defining and developing common products and services for internationalisation. The project organises fact-finding visits to support MSMEs in establishing international partnerships and cooperation links with foreign producers, suppliers and/or service distributors.
