Women, increasingly encouraged to start business
Several female entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova, as well as representatives of support organisations and relevant institutions, met at a workshop dedicated to the development of female entrepreneurship, organised through the “Women in business” project implemented by the ODIMM.
At the workshop, project manager ‘Women in business”, Silvia Cangea a presented Report on the legal framework and policies related to female entrepreneurship in the Danube partner countries.
According to the study, there is a multitude of support programmes and instruments for entrepreneurs in this area, but less for young female entrepreneurs. This would require governments to focus on female entrepreneurship policies that would make it easier for young people to access financial instruments and specialised programmes to launch start-ups. The authors of the study recommend all partners in the Danube area focus their efforts on the development of national female entrepreneurship strategies.
TomatoIs, have discussed the training modules to be implemented in Centres for female entrepreneurs located in 4 partner countries.
Please note that WOMEN IN BUSINESS project – “Promoting entrepreneurship among young people in the Danube Region” it aims to encourage young women with innovative ideas to successfully launch and/or develop their own business.
