The 5th Business Incubator was officially opened in Dubăsari district

The 5th Business Incubator was officially opened on 16 September 2013 in the commune of Coșnița, Dubăsari district. The business incubator will provide a favourable development and growth environment for 20 companies and create 60 new jobs.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Iurie LEANCĂ, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy Valeriu LAZĂR, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Pirkka TAPIOLA, representatives of local public authorities and business.
In his speech, Prime Minister Iurie LEANCĂ mentioned that the project to create business incubators is based on the objective of fighting poverty by creating decent and well-paid jobs, especially in rural areas.
The Head of Government also said that such incubators were being created to give an extra chance to those who had an entrepreneurial spirit and initiative and preferred to stay at home to help modernise the country.
For his part, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, Pirkka TAPIOLA, welcomed the participants in Romanian and said that although he had been in the Republic of Moldova for a short time, he had already dared so much.
“Moldova’s success is also our success. We will work together to achieve these successes, everything is in the hands of the government in Chisinau, projects of this kind are supported by us ", stressed the Head of the EU Delegation in our country.
Pirkka TAPIOLA, mentioned that Small and Medium-sized Enterprises are the backbone of the European economy and that there are more than 900 business incubators in the EU that help create jobs, promote competition and provide a protected working environment for new companies.
“The joint aim of the EU and the Government of the Republic of Moldova is to create 5 such incubators in 2013. Thus, the set is complemented by this Incubator from Coșnița ", concluded the European official.
Present at the event, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Valeriu LAZĂR, spoke about the importance of the location of the Business Incubator in Dubăsari Rayon. “It was principled to have a Business Incubator on the left side of the Dniester. This business incubator is an antenna for citizens living in this region. It is our moral and political concern that they come to this business incubator and receive all the information and support they need to open and develop a business.”
The President of Dubăsari Grigore POLICINSCHI welcomed the idea of setting up the business incubator on the left bank of the Dniester and considered it a step forward for the reintegration of the country.
Dubăsari district business incubator will be a member of the The Network of Business Incubators of the Republic of Moldova (RIAM), together with the business incubators opened in recent years in the Soroca, Ștefan Vodă, Leova, Ungheni, Rezina, Sângerei districts.
The Business Incubator in Dubăsari District, Coșnița Municipality, is set up by ODIMM, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, the local public administration, with the financial support of the European Union, on the basis of the Policy Matrix for the Sectoral Support Programme ‘Economic Boosting in Rural Areas’. The EU ESRA and Entranse to New Market (Norway) projects also contributed to the establishment of the incubator by providing advisory, financial, knowledge transfer and logistical support.
