“Successful practices in supporting SMEs in the Black Sea Basin region”.
The SME Sector Development Organisation organised the seminar “Success Practices in Supporting SMEs in the Black Sea Region” on 28-29 November 2012, which took place at Hotel Regency, str. Country 17 advice.
The objective of the conference was to increase access to information on the business environment in the Black Sea Basin countries, as well as to disseminate best practices in the field of tourism, ICT and maritime in Greece, Bulgaria, Romanya, Ukraine, Italy and the Republic of Moldova.
Feasibility studies on needs have been carried out under the Black Sea Network for Regional Development (BlasNET) project SMEs in the area of business support services and their results were presented at the seminar.
The studies have identified the specific problems and needs of the target groups in each country of the region and the partners will find the best solutions to redress the situation.
Project partners participated in the event: Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – Varna (RAPIV), Bulgaria; Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Research Committee on Urban and Regional Innovation (URENIO), Greece; SME Employer Constanta (Pimm), Romania, Sevastopol Economic Development Agency, Ukraine, Odisseus, Italy (associated partner) as well as SME support organisations entrepreneurship development agencies, organisations representing SMEs, university specialists, business experts who can provide expert assistance and entrepreneurs.
The Director of the National Association of Tourism Agencies of Moldova, Ms Svetlana Lazăr, representative of Simpals, Mr Dorian Doronceanu, Director of the Moldovan Vatrei ancestri, Mr Lațcu Anton and Manager in Liquidation, Mr Catalin – Mihai ANGHEL Constanta, Romania.
The workshop provided the opportunity to identify through collaboration, exchange of experience and collective effort of partners and participants solutions to strengthen the SME sector and stimulate entrepreneurship in partner countries in the three pioneering fields of shipping, ICT and tourism, and the studies carried out will further strengthen the development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
