The impact of the IAS at regional level has led to the model being taken over by another municipality from the Nistar’s side. The Business Incubator in Ștefan Vodă was created in April 2012, modelled on the Soroca, and aims to develop the business community in Raion by supporting small and medium-sized business.

120 new jobs in the first two years after opening. During this period the incubator was host to 19 private companies, of which 6 in the field of production and 11 in the provision of services. Two companies have developed and are currently operating independently, covering themselves all expenses. Throughout the project, companies benefited from training, advice and assistance to develop their business.

Entrepreneurs in Ștefan Vodă, for the time being 13 selected companies, will have space for low-price offices and production, as well as training, assistance and consultancy. Thus, with the support provided by the Norwegian project Entranse to New Markets, a group of entrepreneur entrepreneurs in Ștefan Vodă, residents of the business incubator in the municipality, visited the Soroca Business Incubator (IAS).

Ștefan Vode is a city with 5 times smaller population and a community less engaged in Soroca. Lucia Ușurelu, Vice-Director of the Entranse project, considers that such projects are needed in the raioans where the economy is less developed.

The Soroca Business Incubator was implemented by the Entranse project as an instrument for economic growth by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. Entranse is a project implemented in Moldova by the Government of Norway, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova and the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM). The project’s mission is to support economic growth, contribute to the emergence of new jobs and thereby contribute to reducing poverty. To achieve these objectives, Entranse supports the small and medium-sized enterprise sector.
