Smart specialisationSmart Specialisation and SMEs "a new topic for the Republic of Moldova was discussed on 23 September 2013 at the Codru Hotel. The seminar is organised by ODIMM, with the support of the European Commission, through the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument – TAIEX.

During the seminar, representatives of central and local public authorities from various regions of the country, business associations, universities and research centres had the opportunity to understand the concept of Smart Specialisation and European best practices in the field from experts from Romania, Italy, Finland and Belgium.AND

Smart specialisation is a new concept of innovation policy designed to promote the efficient and effective use of public investment in research. Smart specialisation aims to stimulate innovation at regional level and focus on strengths to contribute to economic growth.

smartTAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange tool managed by the Directorate-General for Enlargement of the European Commission. The instrument aims to assist beneficiary countries in the approximation of their national legislation to the EU acquis, policies and internal practices.
