On 25-28 February 2014, the Network of Business Incubators of Moldova (RIAM) with the support of Entranse 2 Your Business and the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) organised a workshop for Business Incubators’ managers with experts from the Norwegian organisation Proneo.

The workshop on “Objectives, interest analysis, capturing ideas” provided an opportunity for managers of Business Incubators in Leova, Soroca, Dubăsari, Sângerei, Ștefan Vodă and Rezina to develop their managerial skills. The seminar was also attended by Alma Karabeg, the representative of the Norwegian organisation SIVA and the team of the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM).

All participants were aware of the Evaluation Strategy and the Canvas business model.
the SWOT analysis of business incubators was carried out and evaluated their own activities using the Big Picture method. The role of the business incubator manager was analysed based on the experience of business incubators in Norway.

Business Incubator managers have foST divided into teams and developed a concept of the communication plan, based on an analysis of stakeholders, identifying their role and degree of influence and awareness. They also learned how to correctly expose and formulate Business Incubators’ “Vision – Mission – Values – Actions” and identified together tools to collect and implement business ideas.

In the context of the workshop, there was also a visit to the Business Incubator in Soroca, where representatives of Norwegian organisations learned about its organisation and functioning.

In order to develop the network of business incubators, several similar workshops will be organised throughout 2014. They will take place in March, September, October and December and a visit to business incubators in Norway is planned in June.

We would point out that the Network of Business Incubators in Moldova (RIAM) was established on 16 December 2013 by associating the Business Incubators of Ștefan Vodă, Leova, Rezina, Sângerei, Dubăsari, Soroca and the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODSME). RIAM is open to all Moldovan Business Incubators, SME development consultancies, donors and finance agencies, SME development organisations inside and outside the Republic of Moldova, as well as individuals with extensive experience and/or interests in the field.
