RIAM members participated in a new workshop, held with the support of the Government of Norway
On 23-24 April 2014, members of the Moldovan Business Incubators Network (RIAM) studied and analysed the best practices of the Norwegian Business Incubators in the field of strategic planning and effective communication, in the framework of the workshop “Objectives, Interest Analysis, Ideas Capture”. The project is implemented by the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) with the support of SIVA and Entranse 2 Your Business.
H.E. Ms Tove Bruvik Westberg, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Romania and the Republic of Moldova, based in Bucharest, was present at the opening of the workshop. The Ambassador expressed the willingness of the Government of Norway to continue supporting the development of business incubators and directly of the Business Incubators Network in Moldova, noting that she was impressed by the success with which the experience of setting up the Business Incubator in Soroca, a pilot project created with the support of the Government of Norway in 2009, had been taken up and multiplied.
Iulia IABANJI, Director-General ODIMM, also thanked the Government of Norway for
continued support and support for the development of RIAM. ‘Cwe reiterate that through this collaboration, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Republic of Moldova will obtain information support, opportunities for diversification of activities and the development of capacities to create innovative and competitive products on the internal and external market.“, said Iulia IABANJI.
During the two days of training, Business Incubators’ managers applied a number of analytical tools and techniques, which will help them to develop the strategy and plan of activities of the institutions they manage. This workshop is part of the series of regular activities in the Republic of Moldova aimed at improving the administrative capacities of business incubators. In the same context, a study visit of RIAM members to similar institutions in Norway is foreseen.
We recall that RIAM was created on 16 December 2013 and is a platform for cooperation established through a voluntary understanding of its members to promote the role of Business Incubators in economic development and their recognition at national and international level.
The creation of RIAM in the districts of the Republic is one of the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in establishing business support infrastructure suited to the needs of the business community, particularly in rural areas.
