ODSMEs 9 years after launch
The Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODSME) has reached its 9th anniversary. In the meantime, the MDG has contributed to the creation of a business environment favourable to the development of the competitiveness of the Moldovan SME sector, the introduction of new methods and tools in the business.
As a national entrepreneurial ambassador, in the course of its work, ODSME has promoted and implemented a number of national and international support programmes for SMEs at different stages of development, with a focus on the younger generation and women in the rural sector.
In 9 years of ODIMM activity, a number of achievements can be seen:
• Offered over RON 800 million in the form of financial guarantees and grants;
• Has trained some 14 thousand people in the field of business, of which 65 per cent are women
• Provided entrepreneurial advice and mentoring for more than 50 thousand people
• Has created and manages 9 business incubators in the regions, which have facilitated the creation of 160 companies we.
All these activities, undertaken by ODIMM, have generated a significant impact on Moldovan entrepreneurial activity and economy.
• The total investment in the country’s economy by ODSME beneficiary companies was more than 1, 7 mlrd lei
• More than 5000 jobsthanks to the support given to SMEs;
• Have returned to the country for more than 700 migrant Moldovans and their relativesthey started their businesses through the ODIMM Programmes.
ODIMM is currently implementing several national and international programmes, such as:
• PARE 1 + 1 Discharge Programme in the Economy
• National Youth Economic Ability Programme (NEDP)
• Programme for subsidising the participation of economic operators in national exhibitions and fairs
• Effective Business Management Programme (GEA)
• Credit Guarantee Fund (CRF)
• Network of business incubators in Moldova
• Moldova’s National Women’s Platform
• Consulting Services Programme (SES)
• European Entrepreneurs Network (EEN)
ODSME’s core priorities remain to support small and medium-sized enterprises through all its programmes, to promote companies with growth potential, which implement modern technologies, innovations and are ideally suited to internationalisation.
