Opening of Nisporeni Business Incubator 1

A new business incubator was launched on 19 November in Nisporeni. This is the eighth business incubator in the country and one more will be launched by the end of this year.

The incubator will initially host 18 young companies, mainly service providers, and then reach a total capacity of 30 seats. Thus, at least 62 new jobs will be created in Nisporeni, fourteen of which will be for women.

The aim of the Nisporeni Business Incubator is to provide support to novice entrepreneurs in the region. Resident companies will benefit from production facilities or offices at favourable prices, entrepreneurial advice and training, advisory support when purchasing equipment, reduced management costs and other facilities.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Andrian Candu, Minister of Economy and Pirkka Tapiola, Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, Yulia Iabanji, Director General ODIMM, representatives of central and local public authorities, business community, representatives of the European Union in Moldova, etc.

In order to start her own business, she has legal and economic support. It is important to have a framework for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Pirkka Tapiola also mentioned that: ‘these are real possibilities for people who have business ideas to be able to turn them into reality. Entrepreneurship is a concept very close to the principles of the European Union – it means being your head, creating your own comfort and your future.

Director of ODIMM Iulia Iabanji stressed that”over the course of 4 years, we have managed to open 6 incubators with the support of the European Union, this in Nisporeni being the 7th, and we are set to open one by the end of the year. At the same time, I would like to point out that today we are witnessing the opening of Moldova’s largest incubator..’

Opening of Nisporeni Business Incubator 4Ghenadie Verdeș, Vice-President of Nisporeni District, said: “supporting small and medium-sized enterprises is a priority objective for the Nisporeni District Council. SMEs make up the district economy – accounting for 99 % of businesses in the region. We are confident that businesses entering the Nisporeni Business Incubator will be successful with the support they provide.

The Nisporeni Business Incubator was created on the basis of the Policy Matrix for the Sectoral Support Programme ‘Economic Boosting in Rural Areas’, funded by the EU, in line with the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in establishing business support infrastructure suited to the needs of the business environment, particularly in rural areas.
