“Female Entrepreneurship – Sustainable Partnerships” was the subject of the Business Women’s Entrance “At a clock of tea...”
Moldovan businesswomen met at an unprecedented event, “Women Entrepreneurship – Sustainable Partnerships”, on 15 March 2013 at 12: 00 at the Leogrand Convention Centre (“Nistru” room, str. Mitropolit Varlam 77).
More than 50 businesswomen were present at the event, beneficiaries of the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) and EBRD BAS Moldova programmes.They are active in various business areas such as tourism, accounting, light industry, food industry, etc.
In the welcome speech, Ms Iulia Iabanji, Director-General of ODIMM, targeted
welcome the business women present and mention that this event is part of the series of regular meetings planned in the framework of the Moldovan Business Women’s Communication Platform “Women entrepreneurs – A tea cup...”. It is a voluntary initiative launched in December 2013 by the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODSME) and developed with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The event programme included a workshop entitled “Toolkit for Promoting and Establishing Partnerships”, where Angelica Manea, Manager General DAL Consulting Romania presented the networking concept and together with the special guest in Iași, Ioana Olărescu, Director FRAROM International Est invited the ladies to participate in an interactive exercise, where they exchanged contact details. “It was a unique experience, I managed in just fourteen minutes to meet fourteen different people, possible business partners,” said Maria PLEȘCA, representative of TGM Protection.
A particular interest sparked the presentation EBRD’s BAS programme; financially supported by the Swedish Government, which offers the possibility of financing consultancy projects, participation in training courses, mentoring programmes and activities to facilitate access to finance.
The second part of the event was dedicated to showcasing products and success stories. Irina Calancea, founder of Irka Shoes, spoke about inspiration and innovation, and advised ladies to be original and always come up with new ideas. ‘Don’t do what your neighbour does. Do something different from it“he mentioned Irina. With a fashion presentation full of style, Diana Ignat and Tatiana Munteanu, founders of ‘Estradi’, came. The models were their friends and clients, who appreciate the jewellery and jewellery created by the two entrepreneurs, students at ASEM.
Eleonora Tulbiță, founder of ‘Crème Brulle’ presented clothes for children aged
one year to 15. Although most of the products created are exported, a year ago Eleonora decided that it was time to create for the domestic market as well. The only man invited to the event, Dumitru Bordea, founder of ‘Perna mea’, presented a product designed with
love and care – a cushion for pregnant women. ‘I am always glad to know that another woman will sleep comfortably, another future coat will not have back pain to date during pregnancy“he said.

We recall that the event is organised by ODIMM in partnership with EBRD in the framework of the Moldovan Business Women’s Communication Platform “Women entrepreneurs – A tea cup...”. The objectives of the Platform are to encourage female entrepreneurship, facilitate communication and the creation of partnerships between female entrepreneurs, contribute to professional and personal development and serve as a tool to promote products and services of companies managed by female entrepreneurs.
