The aim of the event was to create a lasting partnership between the two RIAM and AICAR incubator networks, both at managerial team and resident company level, and to create opportunities for start-ups and business support and development structures along European lines.

According to the organisers, the partnership created will make it possible to strengthen mutually beneficial relations between business incubators through the exchange of experience, technology transfer and the establishment of business partnerships.

Iulia Iabanji, Director General ODIMM mentioned that the signature of the partnership agreement between RIAM and AICAR will help promote the role of business incubators in the development of the regional economy by supporting DSC 0438creation of new companies and provision of support in the start-up and market penetration phase.

According to Yulia Iabajni incubators are the primary partner of the MDG in advising and informing business on support mechanisms and instruments for the HME sector.

Vajda Lajos, AICAR Chair presented to the network members the methods of working together and innovative business support schemes used by incubators as tools to broaden relations at regional, national and international level.

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and contact points in both countries were also presented at the event, offering more opportunities for business internationalisation. In particular, opportunities to create partnerships, information and advice on the EU market, the organisation of brokerage events, training opportunities, and support for innovation – transfer of know-how and technologies.



DSC 0464A brokerage event was organised in the second part of the day, where entrepreneurs had the opportunity to establish new contacts and identify potential business partners. The event led to several collaborative intentions.

The Association of Romanian Business Centres and Incubators (AICAR) was established in 2010 to strengthen the role of Romanian Business Incubators and ensure their long-term sustainability.

The association’s mission is to create an innational network of incubators and business centres and to establish international relations.

The Moldovan Business Incubators Network (RIAM) is a platform for cooperation created through a voluntary understanding of its members, with the aim of promoting the role of Business Incubators in economic development and their recognition at national and international level. The network was set up in 2013 under the aegis of ODIMM as a collaboration platform for 9 Business Incubators located in the cities of Soroca, Ștefan Vodă, Leova, Rezina, Sângerei, Dubăsari, Nisporeni, Ceadîr Lunga and Cimișlia.


The 9 Business Incubators, opened in the country’s districts, aim to create an entrepreneurial support environment for the rapid and lasting development of incubated firms’ business strategies and local economic development through the creation of new companies and jobs.
